Orandi and girlCaring for their smallest patients is important to our family medicine physicians. Not only are these infants and children different in size from adults, but they also may have different medical needs, including congenital defects, developmental issues and health care problems more specific to children, such as colic and ear infections.

Whether you need general medical care for your children, or information about a specific diagnosis and treatment, our family practice physicians can help.

We Are Here For Your Family

Apple Valley Medical Clinic can take care of the health of your entire family, from the youngest member to the oldest. It is particularly important to schedule well child exams for your children. Don’t wait until they are sick before you bring them to the clinic.

Well child exams include checking your child’s vital signs, including height, weight and head circumference in infants. This helps us monitor your child’s growth patterns over time. We look at your child’s body systems for anything out of the ordinary. We also conduct a developmental assessment to evaluate how well your child is meeting age-appropriate milestones, such as smiling, crawling and walking.

Preventive health is an important part of well child check-ups. We talk with you about dental health; the importance of safety equipment, such as car seats; food allergies and even emotional issues. We also provide you with the immunizations necessary for a healthy childhood. ‘

The family medicine physicians at the Apple Valley Medical Clinic are skilled in taking care of the whole family. Please take time to bring your children in for well child check ups.
